Millions of Australians to Get Centrelink Payment Increase

Big news for millions of Australians on Centrelink—your payments are about to get a boost! Starting March 20, more than five million people, including pensioners, renters, and job seekers, will see extra cash in their bank accounts thanks to indexation changes.

So, what does this mean for you?

• Pensioners: If you're a single pensioner, you’ll get an extra $3913 per year, while couples will receive a combined $5902 extra annually.

• JobSeekers: Depending on your situation, you’ll see an increase of between $3374 and $5038 per year.

• Parenting Payment (Single): You’ll now receive $1030.30 per fortnight, including supplements.

• JobSeeker (Single, aged 22+): Your payments will rise by $3.10 per fortnight, bringing the total to $789.90.

• JobSeeker (Couples) & ABSTUDY (22+): Each person will receive an extra $2.80 per fortnight, making the new rate $723.

Minister for Social Services Amanda Rishworth says this increase will help ease financial pressure, no matter where you are in life.
