Online Appointments Required for Regional Passport Services from October 29

Applicants seeking passports through Sri Lanka’s regional immigration offices must book an appointment online from October 29, the Department of Immigration and Emigration has announced.
The new requirement applies to both one-day and normal passport services. Applicants must select a date and time through the department’s official website before visiting a regional office.
Department spokesperson Mahesh Karunadasa said the appointment facility is available under the link titled ‘Reserving a date and time to obtain passports through regional offices’.
Meanwhile, passport services at the department’s head office in Battaramulla will continue as usual, with no changes to existing arrangements.
More updates to come on AusNewsLanka.
