In Western Australia, a large cloud band is expected to deliver unseasonably heavy rainfall to parts of the Gascoyne and Pilbara regions before spreading further south and east. Perth is forecast to reach 17°C after early rain.
Meanwhile, the Northern Territory's Top End will remain mostly sunny and dry, with Darwin expected to reach a warm 33°C.
