Sri Lanka has been ranked as the fourth fastest-improving country in the world in the latest 2026 Investor Relations and Debt Transparency Report by the Institute of International Finance (IIF).

The report highlighted Sri Lanka’s progress in debt transparency and investor relations, reflecting improvements in financial reporting and engagement with investors.

According to the global ranking, Vietnam secured first place, followed by Belize and Mozambique.

Sri Lanka has also moved up to fifth place worldwide for debt transparency, signalling continued efforts to strengthen financial governance and rebuild investor confidence.
