A historic moment for the Sri Lankan cinema community in Australia has arrived, as the film 'Moda Tharindu' becomes the first-ever Sri Lankan movie to reach the official box office in Australian cinemas.
Distributed by Mega Live Events in Australia, this milestone marks a significant step for cinematic representation and access for Sri Lankan movie lovers across the continent.
A Supernatural Comedy with Heart
Moda Tharindu is a supernatural comedy-drama that tells the compelling story of a young man caught in a whirlwind of family expectations, romantic love, and the complex bonds of friendship. Blending humour with heartfelt drama, the film is designed to appeal to a wide audience.
The movie is helmed by director Thisara Imbulana and written by Thisara Mangala Bandara. It features a talented main cast, including:
