Sydney’s beautiful Christmas market returns for festive celebrations

Sydney’s Coal Loader Centre for Sustainability will host its Christmas Artisans Market on Sunday, December 6, bringing together 100 stalls featuring handmade gifts, locally crafted products and festive treats.
The free event will also offer family entertainment and a festive atmosphere in the historic harbourside surroundings of The Coal Loader in Waverton.
The market aims to promote sustainable Christmas shopping by encouraging visitors to choose handmade products and support independent local artisans rather than mass-produced gifts.
Visitors can explore a range of unique homewares, craft items and seasonal products while enjoying food and entertainment with family and friends.
North Sydney Mayor Zoë Baker said the event provided an opportunity to celebrate Christmas while supporting local creative businesses and making more sustainable shopping choices.
She also encouraged families to enjoy the natural beauty of the Coal Loader’s bushland and waterfront surroundings.
Visitors are encouraged to bring reusable shopping bags, water bottles and keep cups to help reduce single-use plastics.
As parking is limited, organisers recommend travelling by public transport, walking or cycling. A free shuttle bus will operate from Waverton Station.
