Motorcycle Registration Services Expand to Five Districts
Motorcycle registration services have begun at the Department of Motor Traffic’s Gampaha District Regional Office, with the service also being introduced in Jaffna, Hambantota, Anuradhapura and Kurunegala.
The launch ceremony at the Gampaha office is scheduled for 9.00 a.m. to 9.30 a.m., under the patronage of the Commissioner General of Motor Traffic.
The expansion is expected to make motorcycle registration easier for residents in the five districts. Motorists will be able to complete the relevant procedures through their local regional offices instead of travelling to the department’s central office.
The move aims to improve public access to registration services while reducing travel time and making the process more convenient and efficient.
