Sri Lanka Customs surpasses Rs. 2,208 billion revenue target ahead of schedule

Sri Lanka Customs has achieved its 2026 revenue target of Rs. 2,207 billion ahead of schedule, collecting Rs. 2,208 billion by October 13.
The achievement marks an earlier target completion than in 2025, when Customs reached its initial revenue goal of Rs. 2,115 billion on November 11.
Following that milestone, the 2025 target was increased to Rs. 2,231 billion. Total revenue collections eventually rose to Rs. 2,557.5 billion by the end of the year.
Meanwhile, Sri Lanka Customs has taken another step towards modernising its operations by introducing digital signatures for customs declarations from October 1.
The early achievement of the 2026 target highlights the pace of revenue collection, while the introduction of digital signatures aims to improve efficiency in customs procedures.
