Hundreds more Australians have safely returned home from the Middle East as tensions continue to escalate between Iran and Israel.
Two flights from the United Arab Emirates landed in Sydney and Melbourne on Thursday morning, while another flight from Qatar also arrived in Melbourne.
Together, the three flights carried 434 Australians returning from the conflict-affected region.
Since March 4, a total of 3,639 Australians have now arrived back in the country as the government works to help citizens leave the Middle East.
The arrivals came as Iran claimed it carried out a major joint operation with Hezbollah, launching missiles, drones and rockets at dozens of Israeli targets.
Meanwhile, Penny Wong said most Australians who were stranded while travelling through major Middle Eastern transit hubs have now managed to return home.
However, she urged Australians still in the region to leave if they can secure a commercial flight.
Around 115,000 Australians are believed to be living across the Middle East, many of them based in the UAE.
Earlier this week, Anthony Albanese announced the deployment of Australian surveillance aircraft and defence personnel to the UAE to help protect key infrastructure amid the ongoing conflict.
