How Much the Average Australian Worker Earns Per Week

The latest data from the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) reveals the average Australian worker now earns nearly $1400 a week.

From August 2023 to August 2024, median weekly wages increased by 7.4%, rising from $1300 to $1396.

Hourly wages have also seen a slight increase, climbing to $40, which is just a 30-cent rise from $39.70 last year.

For those working part-time, the median wage sits at $691 a week. However, full-time workers are doing a bit better, with their median weekly wage hitting $1700, up $100 from $1600 last year.
