AusNewsLanka - News for Australians - Tens of thousands of VCE students receive ATAR results today
At AusNewsLanka, we aim to keep the Australian community informed with timely updates.

The long wait is finally over for thousands of Victorian Year 12 students, with VCE results released online from 7am today.

A record 65,586 students have completed their VCE in 2024, including 664 students who achieved at least one perfect study score of 50. Students who registered can now access their results online.

Acting Education Minister Lizzie Blandthorn congratulated all students finishing their VCE or Victorian Pathways Certificate (VPC), praising their hard work and resilience.

This year also saw strong growth in the Vocational Major (VM) program, with 9,777 students – almost 15% of VCE graduates – completing the hands-on pathway. The number of schools offering VM rose to 487, up from 477 last year.

Among them is Albert Park College student Chloe Fell, who completed part of her plumbing apprenticeship while finishing school. Inspired by helping her dad on job sites, she says the VM gave her the chance to learn in a way that suited her.

“For anyone who’s not into exams, just give it a go,” she said.

At the academic high end, Trinity Grammar student Eason Yang received a perfect ATAR of 99.95. He says balancing study with running helped him stay focused and calm, and he hopes to pursue his passion for science at university.

Other key results include:

* 3,473 students receiving the VCE Baccalaureate

* 1,150 students completing the VPC

* 97.3% of students successfully finishing their VCE

* 15,399 students earning at least one study score of 40+

Students with questions about their results can call the Post Results and ATAR Service on 1800 653 080.
