Sri Lanka Roadshow in Australia 2026

Sri Lanka Tourism has stepped up efforts to attract more visitors from Australia and New Zealand through a major business networking and roadshow programme held across five cities.
Organised by the Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Bureau (SLTPB), the 2026 Sri Lanka Tourism B2B Networking and Roadshow brought together Sri Lankan tourism businesses and travel industry representatives to strengthen partnerships and promote Sri Lanka as a holiday destination.
More than 50 Sri Lankan hotels, tour operators, destination management companies and other tourism businesses took part in the Australian leg of the programme.
The Australian events were held in Sydney on September 3 at Shangri-La, Adelaide on September 7 at Pullman Adelaide, and Perth on September 9 at Crown Perth.
The same programme format was used across all five cities in Australia and New Zealand. It included one-on-one B2B meetings, networking sessions, media conferences, influencer Q&A sessions, discussions with Sri Lankan officials, an official ceremony and a gala dinner.
Government officials, tourism industry leaders, travel professionals, media representatives and influencers from Australia and New Zealand attended the events.
Popular influencers are also expected to visit Sri Lanka on a familiarisation tour as part of the promotional campaign.
The organisers said the programme aims to build stronger links with travel businesses in Australia and New Zealand and increase visitor arrivals from both markets in the coming years.
A similar SLTPB and O2O Events programme was held in Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne in 2024. The organisers said Australian visitor numbers subsequently increased by 22.5 per cent.
The 2026 roadshow was supported by senior Sri Lankan tourism and aviation officials, including Deputy Minister of Tourism Ruwan Ranasingha, Deputy Minister of Ports and Civil Aviation Janitha Kodithuwakku, Sri Lankan High Commissioner to Australia Yasoja Gunasekara, and SLTPB Chairman Buddhika Hewawasam.
Representatives from SriLankan Airlines, the Sri Lanka Association of Inbound Tour Operators and the Hotels Association of Sri Lanka also participated.
The programme was organised in partnership with O2O Events, the events division of Digital Media Solutions Australia (DMS Australia). The company specialises in B2B events, trade shows, conventions, corporate events and international business networking programmes.
O2O Events said it has experience delivering events across around 20 countries and works with businesses, government organisations and international partners to create trade and networking opportunities.
