Qantas Named Australia’s Favourite Airline by Travellers

Qantas has been voted the most popular airline in Australia and the Pacific region in AirlineRatings.com’s 2026 Flyers’ Choice Awards.
The results were based on votes from about 40,000 passengers, with travellers choosing airlines they believed offered the best overall experiences.
Qantas took first place in the regional favourite airline category, ahead of Air New Zealand. Virgin Australia ranked third.
Singapore Airlines was the biggest winner globally, securing four awards. Travellers named it their preferred economy airline and recognised its cabin crew service, regional performance and ability to provide passengers with peace of mind.
Qantas also came a close second to Singapore Airlines in the peace-of-mind category.
Jetstar made the global top three for Favourite Low-Cost Carrier. It finished third behind Vietjet and AirAsia, beating easyJet by just one vote.
Unlike AirlineRatings.com’s safety and airline rankings, which are assessed by aviation experts, the Flyers’ Choice Awards are based entirely on passenger feedback.
Qantas also performed strongly in the safety rankings, placing third among the world’s safest airlines for 2026, behind Etihad Airways and Air New Zealand.
