This is a developing story brought to you by Aus News Lanka, your trusted source for news for Sri Lankans in Australia and beyond.

In an unprecedented moment for Sri Lankan music, Naadha Gama is set to make history with its much-anticipated debut in the United Kingdom. The landmark event will take place at Charlton Park Estate, Malmesbury, on 11 July 2026. Tickets went on sale on 22 March 2026, and within just one hour, a record-breaking 1,000 tickets were sold, making it the fastest-selling Sri Lankan concert worldwide.

What began as a humble musical journey has now grown into one of the most celebrated cultural movements in Sri Lankan entertainment. From selling just 150 tickets in its inaugural year, Naadha Gama has expanded rapidly, evolving from intimate local shows to major stadium-scale productions and now to international stages.

The upcoming UK concert marks a major milestone not only for the group, but also for Sri Lankan music as a whole. It is the first time Naadha Gama will perform in the UK, reflecting both the group’s remarkable growth over the past seven years and the rising global demand for Sri Lankan music and cultural experiences.

The momentum does not stop there. Later this year, Naadha Gama will also headline what is expected to be the largest Sri Lankan music celebration in the world, taking place in Melbourne on 31 October 2026. Together, these milestones signal a new era for Sri Lankan music on the global stage.

Made up of seven young artists who began their journey together, the Naadha Gama team continues to inspire pride and excitement among Sri Lankan communities around the world. Their UK debut stands as a powerful symbol of cultural connection, artistic growth, and the worldwide reach of Sri Lankan music.
