Wet weather is expected across much of the country this Easter long weekend, with several states bracing for showers and cooler conditions.
Here’s a quick breakdown:
New South Wales
Sydney is in for a rainy stretch from Friday to Monday. Warm conditions on Friday (27°C) will give way to cooler, wetter days around 24°C.
Australian Capital Territory
In Canberra, expect steady rain chances throughout the weekend. Temperatures will ease from 26°C on Friday to about 20°C by Sunday.
Queensland
Brisbane will see consistent chances, with the heaviest falls likely on Sunday. Temperatures stay in the high 20s.
Victoria
Melbourne will be cool with scattered showers. Friday peaks at 19°C, Sunday warms to 24°C, and Monday looks the wettest.
Tasmania
Hobart starts cold (16–18°C) but warms slightly by Monday. Rain is unlikely.
South Australia
Adelaide will be mostly cloudy early, with showers developing Sunday evening and into Monday.
Western Australia
Perth is the standout, with warm and mostly sunny conditions. Temperatures range from 25–28°C and little chance of rain.
Northern Territory
Darwin will be hot, humid and wet, with storms possible on Saturday and highs in the low to mid-30s.
