Melbourne school in lockdown after boy stabbed

A primary school in Melbourne’s southeast was placed into lockdown this morning after a reported stabbing on campus.
The incident happened around 9am at Brentwood Park Primary School in Berwick. Emergency services arrived to find a young boy with stab wounds. Paramedics treated him at the scene, and his injuries are not life-threatening.
A woman also received minor injuries.
Parents were informed by email that the school went into a brief precautionary lockdown to ensure student safety. The lockdown has since been lifted, and all students and staff are safe.
Police are continuing to investigate the incident.
